I’ve been hearing rumours that a NorthWest A330 landed at LGW last weekend on a test flight, I cant find anything on the web about it , any comments ?

I always thought “ATP” stood for Advanced Technical Problem

I love the Northwest A330 in the new colours. Not so sure about the 753 though.

more like Advanced Turbo Problem. Flew with a guy last week who said he had the brief misfortune to fly one for 6 months. He said it was by far the worst aircraft he had ever flown. I thought that was a bit strong bearing in mind he had also flown the 146!!!

I was at Dublin Airport yesterday and a Northwest A330 flew in. It was def. an A330 as it had winglets and Airbus A330 on the fuse.
Beautiful in new colours. I managed to see all four Aer Lingus A330’s as well 😀
A330 is a fav of mine!

It replaced BA’s HS748’s. I thought it was more a stretch and reworking of the Jetstream series of liners than a 748 reworking ?

‘xcuse me , but what does ATP stands for ?
By: Mark L - 4th August 2003 at 19:10
Oh yeah whoops, forgot about the aircraft type! All 3 are ATP’s. There used to be a 777 and a JS41 up until recently too, but these are the last 3 left.

What are they Mark, is there an ATP in there by any chance ?

There was a very significant cost saving acheived with the new paint scheme. As with all airlines the planes won’t be repainted until they are due for their next repaint, so only money will be saved, not spent.
BA’s last 3 aircraft in Landor colours are coming into Union flag this month, illustrating the length of time it takes for a fleet to be repainted. Landor is the colour scheme before the world tails by the way!
