Norton Wankel motorcycle?

My brother has got the only Wankel Norton in Denmark. What do the honourable motorcycle riders on this forum think about this machine – and the ups and downs of this company?

(I only know Norton from one way drone applications)

For back-up he (they) ‘ve got an 850 Commando, and way back in the shed a single BSA (1950’s?)

The Commando was downed once, 15 years ago?, when it was surprised by spilled pigs food in a turn in ex. Yuguslavia.

Best regards

(Sorry, not a motorcycle man myself!)

From a personal interest in the subject, or just something you happened to pick up on your travels?;)

You won’t get an NSU with a Wankel. And just what would these fingers be held up? And as for clearing up the mess you’ve made with your Wankels, well, you’re just a filthy monkey!

Ah – thats what it means!
I thought I had upset all those other drivers – but they are really just saying that they have had two engine changes and are very upset about it!
Glad thats cleared that up! Phew.

The – ROTARY – engine seems such a good idea . But only Mazda continue to use it. There was a NSU (Audi) Ro 80 car in the early 70’ies. If one driver met another he would hold up a number of fingers – usually more than two – for how many engine changes he would have had.

Funnily enough, when my wife chose to go Commando, I decided it was time for a Wankel.
