Røros (ICAO: ENRO) is an airport Southeast of Trondheim – http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=no&geocode=&q=r%C3%B8ros&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=30.461748,59.765625&ie=UTF8&ll=62.722016,11.392822&spn=8.824413,29.882813&z=5&om=1. This year, the airport is 50 years old and this was celebrated last weekend with a mini-airshow. These are my pictures from the weekend. I hope you enjoy them, although Nowegian air shows won’t be like Duxford, Paris or any of those 🙂
Coast Air arrived, beeing the carrier currently flying between Røros and Gardermoen/Oslo. They backtracked on the RWY, taxied into the static display area, reversed into their stand and let of their PAX and cargo before the airshow gates were opened:

Heron – the first aircrafttype flying commercially from Røros, operated by Braathens S.A.F.E (Renamed Braathens, later merged into SAS Braathens with SAS in Norway; and 1st of June 2007 renamed SAS Norge (=Norway)).
Norwegian F-16AMs: 282 og 682 from ENOL/Ørland Main Air Station.
Yes, I’ve been told this can fly! -Missing a propeller i guess 😉
F-16AM 682
Heron again
North American AT-6D Harvard Mk3
Neither won the dogfight, but one of them managed better than the other over all… the flight is never finished until the aircraft has come to a complete stop…
CAP-10C did it’s thing…
LN-WNH & LN-WND. WND is a Dakota which should not be unknown to many of you? Røros TWR frequency: “BREAK, NOW!”

The F-16s was the “grande finale”

Norwegian F-16’s were built by Fokker. Except 2 F-16B’s as attrition replacements direct from General Dynamics in 1989. (Danish F-16’s were built in Belgium by SABCA, except some attrition replacements from the USANG). (From the excellent “F-16.net”)
Best regards

I believe they are, yes – but I’m not 100% sure.

The RNoAF are looking closer at three candidates; The SAAB Gripen, the Eurofighter and the JSF. When they are replaced is for me unknown, but mabye in 15 years or so? (Never walked on ice this thin before, making that guess)…
Oh so thats how you say the Norway – Air Force the RNoAF thanks for the info. So they have F-16 for another 15 years brilliant. And are these F-16’s made by Fokker?
