NAS started their no-frills operations on the Norwegian domestic market on Sunday.
The press and the first passangers, have all given them the thumbs up.
SAS has ruled the domestic market with extortionate prices for a long time, and it almost seems that Norwegian has unlocked a whole new market. NAS is set to be very popular with students especially.
NSB, the national rail company should also be shivering, considering the fact that a ticket between Oslo and Bergen with NAS is a lot cheaper than taking the train. In fact, on average their prices are 4-5 times cheaper than SAS.
NAS has announced they sold more than 40.000 tickets (On four routes!) before the first plane took to the skies on Sunday.
Their prices has sparked competition, and SAS has started making offers for cheap flights again, but i don’t think they’ll ever match NAS’s prices.

RE: Norwegian Air Shuttle
i hope it lasts more than Colour Airlines. I suppose long distances in Scandinavia make plane travelling essential.
