Thought you might like to look at (if you havent already as it seems to be rather popular), this video of an up and coming band (so I’m told…..all my tastes still go back to the ’80s!).

One other video springs to mind.
I was thinking of that one myself, classic ‘non enthusiast’ editing there too. They board a Comet 4, exterior shots of a 727, then they exit a C-130 (in a transit van) narrowly avoiding colliding with a Jet Ranger on the way down…
MADNESS !!! 😀

One of the Spits featured in that was AR213.

Reap The Wild Wind had a great video, had a quick scan of the WWW but couldn’t find it, Spits and old newsreel footage…. they don’t make ’em like that any more:(
And they dont make bands like that either!! (Always be my favourite). RTWW was filmed at Booker and on the South coast using the then Patrick Lindsay Spitfire and if I remember rightly a Sopwith triplane replica too.

Thank you

Actually getting really addicted to the tune in the Auster video – seems to suit Eggesford quite well, and matches the laid back fun atmosphere there was when I visited back in 2006. You can listen to it and some of the bands other songs here
Seeming as they’re playing in London, might go see them

There is an excellent video for one of Will Youngs songs (dont know which as I am not a fan) which is shot in the style of Top Gun and was obviously filmed at Thunder City with some impressive Buccaneer and Hunter footage.

Paul F, is the Auster from Eaglescott? Theres an Auster outfit there (my mate had afantastic trip with them), and was a Rapide there.
edit, oops Ive been beaten to it!
The airfield is EGGESFORD near Okehampton which is rapidly becoming my second home. The Rapide was based at Eaglescott (which is about six miles to the North) and is now at Coventry with Air Atlantique.
Eggesford hosts the largest collection of airworthy Austers in the UK with 4 Auster AOP.9s, Mk.III, Mk.6, Alpine, 2 Autocrats, Autocar, Aiglet Trainer and 3 Beagle Terriers. Others include the Chrislea SkyJeep, 2 Chipmunks, Luton Minor and Phoenix Duet and a Max Holste Broussard.
If you are interested in vintage aeroplanes, you will find a warm welcome at Eggesford.
