Not another what's this from thread

I have taken on the task of trying to identify and catalogue a jumble of aircraft components recovered from an airfield tip. Most of the bits are the metal remains of a Hamilcar and Horsa glider but here are two parst that I have failed to indentify from the APs and parts lists available to me, so its over to the collective forum wisdom.

This could be agricultural but I dont think so. It looks for all the world like a Stephenson valve gear off a steam engine but I rather think its more likely to be part of a trim system, hence the lightweight chain operated bottle jack.

This is obviously part of the flight controls. All the information I have on the Hamilcar and Horsa show the corresponding parts in their systems to be chain operated whilst thsi is obviosly cable.

The part numbers from the previous part none of which match my parts lists. The number 51 is of course the Airspeed type number for the Mk I Horsa.

Sorry for the use of the bank note as a scale it was the first thing that came to hand.
