In fact, I don’t think that this sight (or sound!) has been experienced since 1945. From Paine Field, Seattle in August………….

Any idea when/if we will see these babies in England? Surely they are worth the price of getting them to Legends.
Blimey, some of you lot want everything served up to you on a plate, don’t you! 🙂
I had to make two trips up to Seattle, a total travel distance of over 3,000 miles, just to get that shot. The reason I made the trips is that the aircraft, under current ownership, will probably never be seen away from Paine. They are only flown on very rare occasions, twice a year. So the chances of seeing them anywhere else, let alone at Legends, are somewhere between slim and non-existent.

More chance of seeing a formation of pigs flying over!

Well, I basically ran the company, while the talented guys built the aircraft.
Both aeroplanes are pretty much spot on, with original everything.

They are as built in every respect apart from some essential modern equipment to help communications and ATC, AFAIK

Rare sight
Cor! Nice.
I’m not too (technically) familiar with these two projects. Are they powered by the original/correct engines?
Rather nice anyway, whatever’s pulling them along!
Anon.

I live a few hundred miles away and I’m pretty jaded, I’ve seen a lot in my years around aviation. I haven’t “seen it all” but I’ve seem most of what’s out there.
But I would make a special trip to see (and hear) those two fly.
Thanks Mr. Allen, for doing what no one else has seen fit to do.

Smashing…
What a great sight, and what a reward for the massive effort involved. A massive ‘Hats-Off’….! 🙂

Nice, I’m really enjoying seeing pictures of these two flying; one of them having been part of my life for 7 years, and having watched the other being built up in the same time period.
