Notholt Spitfire on pole

Was out and about round Northolt yeasterday and noticed a certain Spitfire popped up on a pole alongside the A40 that I had never noticed before, now who would be careless enough to leave something like that laying around.

Any ideas on the number.

Just had a look on way past. It’s “EN526” thats been moved from the main gate to the south side. I assume in preperations for the demolision of the hangers.

Nope, definte location central main building forecourt area between Building and main security fencing, mounted nose high left wing low gear up flight attitude, four blade prop, looks a new location to me as not noticed it before in hundreds of drive pasts. 😀

Thanks Spey

I wonder what will happen to the FSM Spit at Uxbridge when it closes? Would be good if it could stay and be repositioned next to the Ops Room enterance.

Hi Cypherus

Not sure about one along side the A40, but there’s a FSM on a pole inside the main gate. It’s painted as EN526, SZ-G. Can been seen quite well in the winter when there’s no leaves on the trees.

Anyone got a pic?

Peter
