BERLIN – As striking British Airways crew return to work, pilots at Europe’s biggest airline, Lufthansa, are threatening to stage a new four-day strike from April 13 following the breakdown of talks with management.
Blimey, first we have “militant” cabin crew at BA, now we’ve got “miltant” pilots at LH, whatever next…”militant” management perhaps?:D:dev2:

(Sorry I simply couldn’t reisist the opportunity to have a quick jibe at all those anti-union/ “militant” cabin crew posters from the other thread we have going on about the BA strike!)😉

Maybe BA and LH should do a combined strike…
Well if LH pilots strike on 13th Apr unless they manage to reach a deal, and with more strikes planned by BA cabin crew on or around 14th Apr, plus the potential of strike action at VS if their pilots are balloted…it could be a very interesting April ahead indeed.

It’s called ‘Can’t see any further than the end of your nose’ These crews seem very determined to see the hand that feeds them wither and die. A great shame for them and the companies attempting to employ them.

Maybe BA and LH should do a combined strike and settle all these problems by fighting over the skies of southern england this summer 😀
On a serious note, what are BA and LH causing all this chaos for, i’m no economist, so i can’t quite understand why this is all happening, is it crew fatigue, low pay or higher up in the heirachy than that?

What, you mean those with a shred of common sense who cannot see the logic behind Unite’s actions?

Comforting to know that some LH staff have the same suicidal attitude to the long term survival of their airline as our BA chums.

There always at it. SAS are bad for it too.
