This week is the first birthday of commercial operations at Niederrhein airport (NRN, former RAF Laarbruch). A large fair has been installed and a few historic planes have visited the airport. Apparantly somewhere there was a static display, but I did not find it. Not surprising perhaps when considering the traffic mess… a detour around the airport was made which took well over an hour! That’s for just a few km!
If you are interested and nearby… tomorrow will be the last day of the festivities. I’d advice you to come early to prevent the traffic mess.

Most recent numbers I have are from january 15th. They had 208.097 passengers over 3.300 flights. Therefore these numbers represent about 9 months worth.
