In the late80s/early 90s, Nurtanio in Bandung in Indonesia designed and built a 50 seat commuter aircraft. I seem to remember that Lockheed gave technical assistance, and a large contribution came from contract design staff in the UK. I recall that maybe the prototype flew, but technical problems meant that a major redesign was required. Were any others completed, and what is the status of this program

“PA1, the 50 seat first prototype, first flew on August 10 1995, while PA2, the first N-250-100 development aircraft, began test flying in 1997. Work on a third prototype had virtually come to a complete stop by late 1998 and plans to build a fourth have been scrapped.” http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/stats.main?id=257
A bit confusing is that both ac N250-50 and N250-100 had the same reg no PK-XNG
Here is a picture of a IPTN N250 fuselage (maybe a mockup) from 2007
