It’s official. Spitfires are still dangerous and ‘reasonably priced’.

I don’t think he’s pushing his point at all, just voicing the opinion of thousands this side of the pond.

By that definition an Fu-24 topdresser originally designed as a ground strike aircraft for the war in Vietnam could be fitted with machine guns too.
Oh let’s not forget the Rheims F406, Piper Malibu, The EMB P110 Bandeirante, Hughes 500 helicopters, Piper Aztec…
Oh okay the Aztec is a hell of a stretch I agree… Scratch the Aztec.
Point is the machine guns in the Spitfire were replicas. You could take any high performance General Aviation aircraft and fit machine guns. So are they now going to ban all general aviation aircraft too …
Good then in future lets boycott all US built aircraft and lets buy French, or Russian made aircraft.
These guys have paranoia tattooed all over their knumbskull heads

How unusual. Red tape getting in the way of historic aviation.
Wait until they find out it can carry passengers, it will then be lumped into the same category as an airliner and will be restricted to fast taxi runs unless an insurance premium of:
Half its maximum take off weight multiplied by the number of engines, multiplied by the number of passengers carried and then divided by how many bureaucrats you know personally.
Best wishes to the owner and here’s hoping common sense prevails.
