Hi all,
Sometime ago a NZ group claimed to have located a substantial Wellington wreck and aimed to have it recovered and restored, They also said to have been in contact with the aircrafts former crew, nothing has been heard since. Is there any truth in this story?

Wow, I hadn’t heard of that. Have you any more details? Which country is it in? Is it in a lake?
A shame if it isn’t recovered. Our government should fund this – they’re spending millions on useless projects but this is a very worthwhile one.

That project never got of the ground….not sure of the details, but lack of funding definitely a big factor.

Good question – I can’t recall hearing anything much since, so I guess its not been recovered yet. Surely we’d have heard about it if it was now being restored?
