I was tempted to post this into one of the main CVF threads but decided against it. The below is a link to a seven minute UK TV Comedy sketch about the new CVF carriers. Apologies if this has been posted before, but I doubt everyone has seen it.

With further rumours of naval cut backs in todays newspapers it might prove more accurate than we think 😮

While, I have to say it was a funny skit………..I to wonder what impact it will have on public opinion of the CVF and F-35? Remember, rightly or wrongly public opinion funds all Military Programs. With the Media just twisting the truth as always…………..

Entertaining but some of it is utter B*llocks!
Melting holes in the deck?
Hurricane force winds on deck?
Not allowed to use the F35 outside the UK?
If you have evidence to the contrary maybe you would like to share.
If not 100% fact on these programmes they have still raised valid points in the past and rumours about F-35B’s impact on flying operations (and structure) have not exactly gone away.

Nice comedy but low on fact. I think there is an honest debate out there on the affordability of CVF at current naval funding levels without a major adverse affect on other areas of naval ops but this skit wasn’t it. That said, I did laugh out loud and found it a very funny sketch.

Who needs enemies when skits like this are being shown and giving a totally false impression of the capabilities and importance of both the CVF and JSF.

Who did their research?
Whilst sketches like these are useful to highlight problems to the public it doesn’t help when it gives false facts which will now stick in the publics mind.
