What is there config on the plane i know it isnt F/J/Y i was wondering is J/PE/Y or just J/Y.

Hi Jet22,

OASiS’s config on their 744’s is approximatley 83J/278Y, although this varies as the aircraft have been sourced from other airlines (i.e ANA, Singapore Airlines), and have not yet been re-configured, but I think it is just B-LFC that has not been re-configured at the moment. They will obviously need to source more aircraft in order to offer the number of services that they are intending to launch…

The Y class offers 32in seat pitch, whilst the J Class offers approx 60in seat pitch.

Hope this helps.

Another Carrier doing the kangaroo route. Nice to hear they are serving melbourne instaed of the usal first serivces into austrila to sydney. Maybe this will give some passengers to enjoy the shopping in hong kong and then the sightseeing in melbourne. Also nice to hear the SFO will be served. This is all round great news for the passsengers but also great news for Hong Kong, San Fransico and Melbourne.

What is there config on the plane i know it isnt F/J/Y i was wondering is J/PE/Y or just J/Y.

EDIT-I am currnetly in the thinking stage of going to visit Hong Kong Melbourne Sydney and Birsbane what is your advice. I will Defo go Oasis Hong Kong From LGW-HKG-MEL then i will probs go MEL-SYD with Virgin Blue,SYD-BNE with Virgin Blue and then BNE-MEL with Jetstar but i want a direct to Man so Emirates or Singpaore is a good choice altough Oasis Hong Kong would Start up a service from HKG to MAN that would be Great. Any advice on the airline i should choose to do the MEL-MAN sector

Not sure about prices, but with regards to the OZ flights, im wondering wether we would be able to buy tickets such as london-sydney via hk. If we are able, think of how great that would be for them.

San Fransisco – starts 1st January 2008
Sydney via Melbourne – starts 2nd January 2008.

I knew that they had intentions of serving San Francisco, but they originally planned to use Oakland Int., then some suitable slots were available at San Francisco Int, which is obviously better from a passengers perspective.

I also knew about the increase in services to/from LGW (was only aware of increases on Sun, Wed, Fri, not Tues!). I believe that they testing the second departure time over the Christmas period, with a view to making it permanent after Feb’ 08. I do wonder how long after that it will be before they introduce a second departure on a daily basis.

The best news though has got to be new services to Oz…:D

Any idea as to possible fares for the HKG-SYD route at all? They are sure to give the ‘big-boys’ a run for their money!

I also wonder if they will offer a baggage transfer service for passengers travelling to/from SYD to/from LGW, or whether they will still keep it point-to-point, as most other low-cost airlines currently do!

From what i understand from the schedules steve, is that the OZ route will be operated from the a/c that had just flown to LGW. Meaning that they will be another Kangaroo Route airline.

Im guessing the airline will announce this expansion on 26th, as thats there 1st aniversary.
