Odd tyre size

In my spare parts collection I have a 4.95 x 3 1/2 tyre that came off a glider, but was – before that – used in a vintage motorized plane. Anybody have any idea to what types of aircraft these were fitted (glider and ‘real’ aircraft)?

Yeah, just noticed that. Now only for the glider type. I think I’ll check out whatever turns up on the Continental Slingsby Meeting next week. Old Fred Slingsby had a habit of using war surplus in his designs… 😉
