Copied this post at the Aviodrome forums. It’s an e-mail sent to one of the posters. For those with money and time to spare, this is your opportunity to fly across the atlantic aboard a DC-3:
Hello Rudy ~ thank you for your message. Yes, we are planning to come to Holland in August to be with the commemoration of the Operation Market Garden activities. I do not think we will be allowed to ‘sell’ tickets in for rides while there (government regulations) but do have a fascinating opportunity for those who would like to fly to / from Europe with us.
Please visit our web site at http://www.vintageflight.com for further details. This is truely an opportunity of a lifetime – to fly in a DC-3 across the N. Atlantic – that should not be missed.
Are you a member of the Dutch Dakota Association? If so, would you know someone in that association that may be interested in advising your members of our trip and this special flight? Please let me know.
