I saw the P40 leaving the airfield yesterday in a container its a shame really one of the best P40s i have seen,i guess we will not see her again in these shores,i wonder if there is any future left for OFMC at duxford with so many a/c leaving for NZ.

An interesting and somewhat worrying thought. With the end of the Breightling sponsorship deal might Ray decide to relocate some or all of his collection back home to NZ. Truely a sad day if it were true. Does anyone know where the P-40 will be located in NZ, I assume Wanaka, but there must be other airfields with warbird operators, afterall the UK is not just Duxford.DOUGHNUT
No but Duxford is one of a few places where the public get access to see the machines being maintained, test run and flown.
Also a chance to meet the crew at times.I wonder how much help/finances have appeared because someone saw what was happening had just happened to know something/someone that could help.
Yes a sad time if the OFMC quit our shores:(
