OFMC's Zero

Does the OFMC still own the Mitsubishi Zero that was reported as being bought by them in mid 1997? It was restored when it arrived by the photo.
Do they still have it? If not, where is it now? And did they ever fly it?

Their website doesn’t mention it, but then the site doesn’t look as if it has been updated in a long time and still says they have the Corsair. I always find their site unreadable due to a technical fault where all the letters jumble together. Do other people get this?

If I remember correctly, the only reason it fetched up in the OFMC hangar was that there was a dispute over the cost of transport to the USA. It resided with OFMC until that was sorted and then went to Chino. It had only been partly restored and needed all the detail stuff to be completed.

This has been covered a number of times. Basically the answer is no, plus I don’t think it was ever there’s, I think they were looking after it for a short time. It’s now at Chino being converted into a 2 seater.
