If you haven’t read the General Aviation but, I soloed the Rearwin today.

What is a ‘Rearwin’?:
I had always assumed it was a ‘typo’ until I saw the period ad.

Quite a few people have trouble with the name. Rearwing gets used a lot and I have heard it as Rearwind (Frrp!)
Company started by Rae Rearwin and his two sons, Ken and Royce (Royce is still around aged about 93). Ken flew mine to California in 1939 and that is Royce’s first wife in the advert.

Melvyn,
Outstanding stuff, I’ll strum a celebratory chord or two for you (though you may be glad that you can’t hear it)! Having well and truly put the said guitar book to good use, maybe I should go out and search for an antique aeroplane in need of a little TLC……could I cope with the “banter” though?!!
Well done from Down Under (and on ANZAC day, too).

Hi Melve
You’ve been soloing for years – I keep telling you – ITS MORE FUN WITH A WOMAN!!!- I hope you didn’t leave any nasty stains in the nice new plane – When are you going to fly it on your own ?
Seriously Melve you are now at a place you must have been dreaming of for many years – independant and in your own aircraft which you rebuilt. Fantastic news
Kindest regards
John P
