Hi

Dont forget XX885 up at Scampton. HHA are working hard to get it flying in the UK and have put it on the civil register as G-HHAA

They did a ground run last month and that went very well 😉

The Pilot of the Harvard

That looks to be the Harvard that Doug Arnold had at around that time. Can anybody confirm by the serial?

Ray Hanna used to put on quite a spirited display in that machine and it could well be him.

Booker again

Reading philos’ post “Booker Images” set me thinking about the airshows they had back in the late 60’s and early 70’s and then he started this thread. Here is some more pics from the past.

Out of interest can anyone identify the Harvard pilot? (1971/1972)

I guess the UK CAA are fairly ok with aircraft test flying on a foreign register in the U.K . I am a firm believer that the Buccaneer is achievable – it’s got a good reputation for solid reliability.

I don’t think so. The CAA don’t like us to keep our history flying in civilian hands if they are as complicated as that lady. I sometimes think they would stop civilians from flying any warbird more complicated than a Tiger Moth if they could.
