Oh no another Bader Thread

Hopefully this is a simple question about Bader.
Can Someone tell me the correct spelling of Douglas Baders middle names, I have been looking on the web and have two spellings for “Steuart” “Stewart” and as there are other spelling I would like to get this right.

Thanks

:diablo: You have just caused me to hiking into my loft to look through my boxes for the Paul Brickhill book, can i find it,can i hell.Old mousetraps -yes,many boxes of books but no Reach for the sky.
I seem to remember an introduction about Baders name,i think part of it was something to do with his Grandad and possibly Scotland. If i am up in the early hours rummaging i’ll blame you :p

You would’nt happen to be looking for something to paint would you?

I think I’ve got it now so no need to turn the house upside down, and to answer you’re question , yes
But the reason I asked is that I produced an airbrushed side view with some blurb about Bader and someone looking at it pointed out that I had spelt his name wrong, quite possible as my fingers are dyslexic, but I was sure I was correct, so I win the pint.

thanks for the help

In Bader’s book ‘Fight For The Sky’ he is down as Group Captain Douglas Steuart Bader C.B.E., D.S.O, D.F.C.

Thanks guys
I’d not seen that spelling before so just wanted to confirm it was correct, I don’t always trust the interweb.

Cheers
