Oh What a treat

Just had to share this with everyone.
At aprrox 15.45 the gorgeous US registered Catalina from North Weald flew nice and slow and low over my house accompanied by a Harvard. SUPERB:D

The Cat’s gone now, I’m afraid. N9521C departed from North Weald on Friday. It was going to Kinloss first to do a memorial Battle of the Atlantic flypast, then on tho the States.

I was lucky enough to have a look round her during the recent Air Britain fly-in.

Here are some cockpit shots.

i cant believe i missed that,Essex boy 2! i saw a spitfire last night about 5pm, very low, couldnt see well due to sun glare!

my question is why hasnt the plane sailing cat or the former plane sailing Cat got nose turrets? it looks nicer on the north weald example?

Hi Mike J

I did read somewhere that she was going back to the States.
At least I can now say I saw her fly as I had only ever seen her in the hanger at North Weald before.
