Hi everyone, this was my first time shooting aerial shots at an airshow. I don’t have a lot of money so I picked up a budget tele lens for the job last year for £100, the Canon 100-300mm 4.5-5.6. Bearing that in mind, they aren’t the best photos you will see, but I am happy with it considering what I paid.
Please enjoy the photos and comment and feel free to view the rest on my flickr stream.

You’ve done superbly with that lens. That chaff/flare release/F16 shot is excellent & really good timing, following that upwards! I failed with that & I have a Sigma 400mm. Brilliant shots!

I think the USM and a good load of luck helped with that one! I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it at full size.

Thanks for your very kind words 🙂
I’m thinking i’ll rent the 100-400 next time for a comparison. Very curious about the differences in reality between a budget and an L lens.
Hope for similar conditions at Legends. 😀
