Oil Separator Catch Tank.

Does anyone happen to have, or to know where we can get an Oil separator catch tank as fitted to the upper starboard side on the forward face of the firewall of the Hawker Typhoon?
We need one for the JAM project.
Part number or (even better) drawings would help.

That’s interesting as both of those are a different shape (rectangular, without the chamfered corners) and not the one pictured. I suspect any of those three would be correct, which would make your life a lot easier.

Hi Winhover,

the manual show a “H” Type fitted to early aircraft and an “M” type fitted to later aircraft

Hi Windhover

I have had a search for you. It is suppressor type ‘W’, Air Min ref 5c/1614. I am looking for one too if you manage to find a spare. These are not common so good luck.

OK, I’ll go with that; but is it a type H or a type M? (Think it’s the latter being close to the Booster coils.)
Thanks Gents.

Yes, it’s a suppressor, not a tank.

Is that not a suppressor?
