I presume most of us received a visitation during the last 24 hours, so what was the outcome? Did you receive your true heart’s desire? Were Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera delivered to Ad0nis? Or was it the usual socks/pants/handkersiefs/scarves?
There’s a thought, if anybody received any unwanted or duplicate gifts, perhaps we could swap things with each other via the forum.
Personally, I did ok. Some books I’ve been after, a couple of sweatshirts, a First World War trench art letter opener and a brass model of a Halifax made during the last war. One or two other bits and pieces so all in all, not a bad day.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
I got a new PlayStation game – Devil May Cry – which is damned good. Also the usual stuff – Viz annual, clothes etc. Had a decent Corsendonk Pater (dark Belgian beer for the uninitiated) and spent the night fuming over the fact that my local “beer shop” is in fact a big pile of s**t, asking for orders for rare beers then selling them on to someone else before they can be collected. This fiasco with the Rochefort 10 has brought home the fact that Scarborough is a bloody awful shopping place. Next year I will buy my beer from Knaresborough.
Sloeber. Simply sensational.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-12-02 AT 00:21Â AM (GMT)]I live in a very cold climate if you ask me. How do Canadians live where they live?? Any who, I received a remote car starter for my car from Santa. It is a little computer box that you hook up to your starter and you can start your car from up to 1,000 feet away with a push of a button on the key chain. So now I don’t have wake up early for work and go out and warm my car cause now I can just push the button from my bed and my car will warm up.
I also got clothes, some DVDs, and a new stock for my pre-ban SLR-1 (Romania made Ak-47).

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
Anyone read the Buck Dany comic books? Actually they were the reason I got interested in military aviation.

Uderzo and Goscinny are French. One is from Corsica (i think it’s the dead one – he died halfway making Asterix and the Belgians), the other one is from the Marseille wherabouts. Most other European cartoons are Belgian though. Franquin (Gaston Lagaffe), Hergé (Tin Tin), Morris (Lucky Luke) and Peyo (the smurfs) are Belgian.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
No Wysiwyg, the two wathers are Uderzo and Goscinny, the scenarist and the cartoonist.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
Sorry Geforce, but why put the pins in a hollow place?
About esterix, on, he’s a Breton, but his fathers are two belgian cartoonists, and that’s the reason why he’s Belgian 🙂

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
Asterix is Breton. As is my wife. (Does this mean my daughter is Bretish as opposed to une Franglais?)

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
I know where to place the pins. In his head, that will hurt him the least.
BTW Asterix is Belgian.

RE: OK, so what did Santa bring?
I got:
Drunk.
Stuffed.
I was over in France for it, we had a seafood extravaganza for the second starter. That was after foie gras. Then some chicken thing. i had to go to bed before desert though. It was 3 am! 3 or 4 different types of wines, chosen to suit.
Having another xmas here soon, when my wife and daughter return. I had to work, so only managed 4 days away. Thats when i will get most of my presents. I have my first bottle of gin though. And a towel. A couple of Asterix books, in French. Nothing whatsoever related to aviation though. That comes through the door at all times of the year!
