The skies were grey and it was bloody chilly at times, but an otherwise excellent seventh annual Old Buckenham Airshow. A full report to follow on airshows.co.uk, but in the meanwhile a few shots from the day…
Kicking us off – a flying visit from Ken Wallis. King of the Autogyro, and Bond (You Only Live Twice) stuntman in his day. Still flying one of his NINETEEN autogyros well into his 80s! Gotta love the man… Especially as he had to leave early to “let his puppy out”!

‘Let his puppy out’ ?? What sort of a euphemism is that ?
Neville Duke is another one, but there cannot be many of the WW2 guys still flying now.
Of course Rufus Heald is still instructing at Exeter 🙂
