Mr. Bee and I have two nights in Singapore on the way home from New Zealand in November.
Do any of you intrepid travellers out there have ideas for things to do/see ? We’re staying centrally near Orchard Road.

Are you staying at Raffles? spend the two days in the Longbar sipping Singapore slings…they’re sensational
Staying at the Raffles ? On a British old age pension ? No Steve,it’s slightly more modest accommodation for us.
Thanks for the tip,Deskpilot. So far the most exotic thing I’ve inadvertently eaten is horse,in France naturally ( hope Daz doesn’t read this ).

G’day Mrs B. Can’t help you with your request as it’s all changed soo much since I lived there back in the early ’70’s. Loved the place then but today….?
Re Raffles Hotel, played there in a jazz band, and yea, the Singapore Slings were great. Better than what you get these days.
Any way Mrs. B, enjoy your stay. Oh, one tip. If you go outside the city proper, and decide to eat at a macann stall (road side snacks), be warned, rat tastes like chicken.

Sentosa island is worth a visit – exotic birds & plants – the cable car ride across the water is impressive. Maybe a harbour cruise as well.
