As mentioned in the Duxford thread, I have been given permission to post some images taken by Alan ‘Nobby’ Noble, I believe they will be of interest to members of this forum so I will post more as and when I get a chance to scan more. I have noticed that a lot of his prints and negatives have not stood the test of time, probably through poor storage so the quality on some will not be up to modern standards.
This batch have images from Newark date unknown, and Bassingbourn, May 1978.
T33 at Newark
F100 at Newark
Wessex XT469 at Bassingbourn
Chipmunk WP964 at Bassingbourn
Sea King XV699 at Bassingbourn

I have some similar Blackbush pictures (but without the Islander) dated 31/7/1976.

Revised info – I’ve just checked my own photo archive, the second set including the Piston Provost, is post-autumn 1980, which is when the Anson fuselage was moved to the new site!
The first T33 photo that you posted is missing a ‘drop tank’, this is due to damage that I inadvertently inflicted on it at Sculthorpe (located the release trigger without anyone there to catch the tank).
The repair to this tank was undertaken by some members from Rolls-Royce, Hucknall and perhaps with assistance from forumite Joe Petroni; IIRC this work was completed after summer 1980 after they’d refitted the ‘coal-scuttle’ air intake to the Meteor FR9.

I’d suggest that the F100 & T33 pictures were taken at Newark in late (Nov / Dec) 1978 or early 1979 – most likely the latter.

Ah Bassingbourn – I think that was the Harvard meet? I have some shots too.
Newark circa 1978 too I think: by 1980 the T-33 was gaining Thunderbird colours.
