Was talking to someone at work the other day who says he came across an “old jet fighter” outside a factory in South Wales. Does anyone have any idea exactly where this jet might be and also what aircraft is it.

Saab J 35-2 #35515!
It was delivered to Irvin-GQ at Liangenoir, Bridgend, in 2003. Here is a link to a picture of 35515, still in service with 2.Sqn. of F 10 in early 1988:

I think you mean the ex Swedish J35 Draken (not Viggen) that came through Immingham docks several years ago.
Its kept at Irvin’s parachute factory.

Could be the Swedish AF Viggen that is outside a factory near Bridgend. I believe the company manufacture something that is used by the Swedish Air Force, and they donated a Viggen on its retirement.
