Hi,
This is a request to all those with old issues of aviation magazines.
I’m looking for articles concerning the making of “The Flight of the
Phoenix” (1965) from issuses of Air Classics, Aeroplane Monthly
and Flypast from the years 1965 up to the late 60’s.
Also any articles etc. concerning the activities of US company
Steward-Davis Inc. who did Jet-Pak conversions and Catalina
conversions.
I think there was an article in the May 1957 issue of Aeroplane?
I would also be keen to hear from anyone with old photographs
from Long Beach airport in the late 1960’s.
Note: I’m aware of the Jan. 2006 article in Aeroplane (I wrote it)
and also the 2004 O’Leary Boxcar write-up as well.:)
Cheers

Aeroplane Monthly didn’t start until 1973.
Best wishes

Cranfield Institute library hold all copies of “Flight” International and the old “Aeroplane” magazine. It is open to the public but you have to pay a hefty subscription to join.
