Old magazines

I have been sorting a lot of stuff out lately and I have a lot of “Pilot” and EAA Sport Aviation mags from the late 80’s/90’s.They are in excellent condition and it is a shame that I can’t keep them but space dictates otherwise,so I would like them to go to a good home. They would have to be collected,pm me if interested.Hope this is post is ok with you mods.

As per a previous post you would need to check with NAM first – they get loads of similar offers and I know they’re struggling for storage space and to sell them on! (Full sets of most magazines already in their archive).

You could donate them to Newark Museum, not too far from you.

I gave all of my old magazines to the people at Stow Maries. I hope they didn’t get chucked out when they
made big changes there.

Slightly off topic, I have donated old magazines to the RAF Museum shop at Cosford. This was done after discussion with the shop manager so that they could ensure they could handle the number that would be delivered. There is a doorway that you can bring your car up to. In this way, as long as you do not want money for your collection, you can ensure that real enthusiasts can get what they want and more money goes to conservation. “Every little helps”.

They will also sometimes take certain book collections. Again this should be done by prior arrangement as I did.

How about donating them to a air museum?

Some charity shops are happy to take that sort of thing, particularly if there are complete years.
