Old RAF Winch Identity?

Can anyone ID what this what we presume is a bomb loading winch would have been used on? It is very heavy and could it possibly be Short Stirling or Vickers Virginia, Valetta??? It is made by Didsbury in Manchester

Looks almost like the forerunner to the very common Didsbury mini hoist that has been used as ground equipment for years in the RAF.
