What can I say? Yet another absolutely superb show up until the point we left. Pyro’s and my dog don’t actually mix any too well so left as soon as the 108 took off. To be honest, not that keen on pyro’s myself either, don’t think they add anything to a display unless completely in context but that’s just my personal opinion.
Highlights for me? Too difficult to single too much out really but the Spitfire display and the grace of the ‘follow the leader’ put on by the Chipmunk, Magisters and Tiger Moth will live long in the memory.
Here’s a few photo’s of the show as I saw it……
Sopwith Pup and Triplane.

Getting in and out of that M1C certainly looks a tricky business.

Two of the Shuttlewaffe.

Could that Tutor look any more gorgeous?

The Tiger Moth looked very nice in the sunshine too.

Sun on the Magister always makes it look special.

Tiger Moth again.

Peter Holloway taxying in.

I thought the Fennec was a welcome visitor and a very spritely performer.

At last, three decent (by my standards) photographs of a Spitfire at OW! And what a display it was.

And to finish, two of the 108, a smart looking aircraft, but one I’d rather see displayed as it served, in a similar manner to the Bestmann.

I expect they put on their usual high quality show, just a shame I was working.
