Old Warden Aero Modelling event – 14/03/10

Had a very enjoyable few hours over at Old Warden this afternoon for their Aero Modelling event, which was judged by local pilots Rob Millinship (who brought the Bucker Bestmann in from Leicester) and Peter Holloway. Wasn’t planning on taking the camera, but the possibility of some flying and having not visited the Collection since November, I changed my mind at the last minute. Decided to try some monochrome shots in an attempt to be different to the norm, whether they “work” or not is up for debate.

As it turned out, the winner of the competition (who, I believe, entered an Avro Tutor) was given a flight in Peter Holloway’s Miles Magister, which departed in the worst conditions of the day, but arrived back in brilliant sunshine and blue skies.
