What’s the situation with the Gladiator at the moment?

When is the Spitfire DU E to fly!

The Starboard aileron is being worked on as we speak, more power runs are needed and then once everything us hanging back on the airframe weight and balance can be carried out. So still some jobs to do.

Currently the Spit is sitting on the airfield with two Hurricanes, a Comet, Mewgull and a Dornier 28 as the Sea Hurricane has already flown to Duxford if anyone is interested..

She looks gorgeous in those new colours!

I’m surprised there’s been no comment or imagery here of AR501’s new paint scheme! Unless I missed it somewhere?

WDoes anyone know if G-HITT will be at Old Warden tomorrow?

As someone said on Facebook: tell them you saw two Hurricanes and a Dornier over England today and they won’t believe you!

Looking forward to seeing her in the air again soon!

Looks as if they have made new some new dummy barrels for the 20mm cannon.

I’m hoping they are going to fit the correct tapered shrouds to replace the later ‘e’ ‘blown’ type that it used to have.

Hadn’t been for a couple of years, but an enjoyable day out as ever on 13th April.

The Mew Gull was having engine runs, while a steady stream of visitors flew in and out. Cessna taildraggers seemed to be the order of the day!
