Just got back from a business trip, so an opportunity to post my take on another superb display at Old Warden.
However, what is it with this weather, I was ‘umming and arring’ until the last minute, not knowing whether it would be a washout or not? Thankfully, the rain stayed away, but then, so did the sun!
Managed to get a reasonable selection, but my new UV filters must have been laughing their socks off!
Saw a few personal firsts, and met a few familiar faces, so all in all a day well spent.
Not seen this Spit before, very nice to see a PR variant too.
This German veteran visited, but alas, I missed his name,
And it seems the real Germans found the not-so-real Germans a ‘novelty’, being sited next to each other as well.
Another first for me, seeing the Comet taxi, it left a trail like a delinquent snail!
Superb display…….

Yet another first, seeing the Blackurn in her natural environment, I can only imagine how much ‘wadpole’ has been used on that skin.

Great stuff. Although it’s dark, I like the pic of the two ‘108s – makes them look very sinister!

Part two, my final offering of the Pageant:

First time I’ve seen the Anson up, and a very spirited display it gave too!

And finally, another first, seeing the Sea Hurricane fly
