Old Warden next Saturday

Hi everybody,

I’m currently staying not far away from Old Warden, and will have next Saturday off. Does anyone know if there is something going on at Old Warden that day, as I might well drop in for a visit?

Hi myself and Fergy1 will also be making an appearance on saturday to pre flight the jeep for the forum meet on the sunday. So we will be recogniseable as the two people swearing about the fact it doesn’t run properly and that the price of proper 4 star has gone up again!!! 🙂 (at last fill up it was 104p per litre, and if we’re lucky if it does 20mpg 😮 )

Will be good to put a face to the name Galdri. We’re easily recognisable; Robbo will be the one fondling the Hind, Man on the fence will be man on the trolley, met24 and I will undoubtedly be drooling over the Chipmunk again, and AndrewO will have a beacon attached to his head.

Other than that, you won’t notice us… 😉

Unfourtunately, I’ll not be able to do anything on sunday, I’ll be sitting in Le Box (the simulator) all day long.

However, I’ll be at Old Warden on saturday, even if nothing is going on. I’ll see some of you over there no doubt.

The AGM of the Historic Aircraft Association is at Old Warden on Saturday. It could be that some of this forums contributors might consider joining – only £15 per year.

Nothing out of the ordinary as the runway is still closed after its re-grading. However you may find some forumites doing either airfield work or cleaning aircraft in the Hangars.

Are you about on Sunday as there is a forum visit to the nearby Twinwoods and Harrington museums.
