Yesterday at EMA we had N716CK make a stop-over on an ad-hoc cargo charter – Rolls Royce gubbins to Keflavik – N716CK is Line No.52 built in 1970, is this the oldest 747 still regularly flying commercially? Over to you….

B747-121(SF) N617FF line number 24, ex-N743PA was ferried Marana-Houston-Tripoli in the last 24 hours. Wonder who it’s destined for.
N617FF, c/n 19650 is reported as exported to Bangladesh.

For awhile it was accumulating airtime faster than any other jet.
For years it was the only Braniff 747 and did a roundtrip between Dallas and Honolulu every day.

Very interesting. Registered to Logistic Air who are not a freight airline per se, only freight forwarders, c/n 19650/24. When owned by Tower Air, it was featured as a model by AirParadigm.

In terms of flying hours, I believe several 747’s are over 120,000 hours and one -200 is over 125,000 hours. Thats 5,208 days or 14.27 years in the air. amazing.

Not quite revenue service, but I believe MSN025 is still with us, as N747GE, a flying test bed for General Electric.

Probably correct there. Kalitta were close with N712CK number 60. Although the Brussels one was registered earlier, N704CK, it is ‘younger’ at number 191.
The oldest 747 flying might be this one in Iran which has recently been refurbished.
