Hey, im one of those who likes the DC-9… flown on SAS dc-9’s many times… Nippy things. I found them to be quite comfortable too.
I see that NWA are still using this type and have recently painted one up in the new c/s, which breaths new life into it.

I like the aircraft. Compact, and very much a product of its time. Like the SAS livery too, much better than the current one.

“T5” I was speaking in general terms not just this thread. The much maligned DC 10 had a reputation through no fault of is own,and the MD11 suffered from poor sales in the shadow of DC10

Only one person so far in this post has said they dislike the DC-9 aircraft in particular, not quite “everybody”. However good the aircraft has been in the past, it’s not likely be everyone’s cup of tea. Also, there is no problem with McDonnell Douglas aircraft at all, the DC-10 was a fine aircraft, just the DC-9 that people have problems with.

Yeah, it’s a series 20, specially made for SAS. They flew them up until a few years ago.
