I can’t believe that no-one has posted anything about this yet.
Sadly a man behind many people’s childhood TV watching passed away this week aged 83.
Story here
Obit
A very inventive & talented man and for many the voice of Children’s TV
Thank you Mr. Postgate for the happy times.

Grey don’t worry I remember watching Noggin too. There were times I’m sure my dad was enjoying it more than me though!

I grew up with the Clangers and Ivor the Engine. When I was at University we had a Clangers Appreciation Society which organised trips to the Baxters Soup factory to see the soup dragon. Not sure what Mrs Baxter’s response was to that one.
He left a good legacy.

I’m only really aware of Bagpuss (which was repeated on Channel 4 in the earlyish hours of the morning) – used to enjoy it, though.
