I’m hopping to find Info on the following – BHX Diversion Photos from the 80’s and 80’s pics at the Row, and also Information on what can be expected at the various airports for the Olympics 2012 I’m sure many an Interesting flight Is expected…..

I am hopping that it might be like the Euro champs when most airports had visiting aircraft with supporters, I remember BHX Having some good arrivals and I believe MAN was the same, lets hope its even better…

How many airfields are there designated for the overflow? I assume all of them will get some traffic as the planes need to be booked in, and this has been going on for a while already.

Olympics will be very busy for VIP’s and bizjets. Stansted is likely to be the main port of call for VIP’s. I have heard the two days before the opening ceremony will be the busiest for these. Many aircraft will then be dispersed to other airports like BHX, EMA etc. Farnborough, Biggin, Luton, Northolt etc will see plenty of bizjets. There are many designated Olympic airfields but how many will see anything is just guesswork.
The busiest days at LHR will be the two days after the close. I guess we will see a few extra widebodies on those days?

I’m not sure what LHR is getting regarding the Olympics as I think they are being quite strict on slots.
Olympic traffic is going to Farnborough, Luton, Cranfield and others I can’t remember.
