You didn’t need to go that far…..
Nick Radford’s Bucker Jungmann is based just down the road from you at Bicester! 😉
Anyone know how many aeroplanes (other than Greek Airliners!) have carried the Olymic logo?

Stuart – no.
Many aircraft earlier than that had adverts branded on them – here in NZ I can think of Cadbury’s Chocolate Moth and Creamoata (breakfast ceareals and porridge) had an old WWI plane painted up. The NZ Herald newspaper donated a DH60 to the Auckland Aero Club with their logo sponsorship on it too, and it was known as The Herald Moth.

Is this the earliest example of corporate sponsorship ?

Wasn’t the purchase of this particular airframe the start of the development of the dive-bomber the Stuka (STUrzKAmpfflugzeug = divebomberaircraft)
Or is this a myth.

Hanna Reitsch?
I see from the museum placard that it was the personal aircraft of General Ernst Udet.
