I agree – I did not mean to suggest it should be closed, I was only expressing my opinion of it. One of the joys of this forum is the diversity of threads contributed.

Not really.

But the forum topics are the preserve of the contributors, and if one gets some enjoyment from pasting lists of events then, as long as it does not stray too far off topic, there is no reason to supress it.

James has it.

The destruction of Coventry is on its own the subject for some discussion, but who is going to bother when they know that the next day it will be diluted by postings about obscure Americans.

And as James said – as you are cutting and pasting – let’s credit the source.

Hi Nitro – a few items of feedback for you, meant constructively.

The whole thing would work better if you did a single dated post per day; e.g. ‘Nov 14 – On this day – Historic aviation facts’. Then you might get some discussion, which would relate to the date.

You’d only have to make about 365 posts, too…

There are places you an get this info if you want it. As this is evidently not your own work, perhaps you’d like to credit the source? Likewise it’s evidently heavily US-interest biased; a bit more outside the Anglosphere would be good – a lot harder to do. However if there was a separate post per day it might encourage other people to contribute, such as our French, Italian, German and Argentinian contributors. Then it would be a collaborative and much more useful resource.

All bold. No. Bold some, none or headings. But not all. Thanks!

Keep it aviation only, as discussed. Obscure connections, on the other hand, would be interesting.

On the other hand; good retention of non-English symbols, interesting mix, it’ll be worth seeing if with some modification the idea can ‘fly’.

Hope that may be of use,

Regards,
