Yesterday, myself, EGNM and PMN set off on a bit of a road trip. We were headed for the Midlands, and the first stop was EMA. Here, we were disappointed by the amount of traffic, and the runway heading which made photography quite difficult. Here is the only shot I took there…

We then took a trip down to BHX, which after finding the correct spot, was also quite disappointing for the amount of traffic, even though I thought the long stay car park wasn’t that bad. (PMN may disagree with me ;)). Here’s my two shots from BHX, my two favourites of the whole day :).

We then decided to head to somewhere where we were guaranteed great photography, and lots of traffic. MAN. We stayed at the pub for around 4 hours, and met up with the legend that is Mr Grey Area for a couple of drinks. Very pleasant!

We then headed back to the other side of the pennines, at the end of a sometimes frustrating day, which had a good end :). Big thanks once again to Steve for driving, hope you liked the shots!

Cheers guys for the feedback. Glad you like the pics.
Next time you shall have to come over to me, i dont know faces up there, only people i know really are… Alan Lord, Karl Nixon, Pete Bown and i knoe Dennis by face ( but never chatted )
I was the one on the wall, had no scanner that was at home. Didnt stay too long as the weather diddnt look like it was going to improve.
Yes it was a 350d i was using..
See you again soon

Was Mr Drummond the guy with the Scanner which appeared on the ATIS once or twice?
Not a bad day out all in all, although PMN ever so nearly blew his rag, whilst sat on the kerb at the BHX car park we had just paid £6.50 for – rather amusing for me and Tom!
No mate, Mr Drummond was the guy stood on the wall with the camera. I agree, seeing PMN nearly blowing his rag was quite amusing ;).
Thanks for all the comments guys!

Not a problem driving chaps, although I didn’t make that many really, infact less than 1 per every 10 miles we drove (300) 😡 – and making more FlyBe’s at MAN than BHX really took the biscuit!

Great shots both of you!
The Bmi A319 I think is still one of the smartest planes to be seen flying about, even when I have seen countless numbers of them at LHR.

Tom… Let me get this straight so I’m not mis-understanding anything here… You went to THREE airports in one day? WHY?! What kind of a nutcase does that? Ah… Err… Hang on a sec… 😀
Nice photos mate. I love that Adria shot!
Lee… It’s amazing how well you can remember little things like avatars. I saw you standing on the wall and thought ‘that guy looks familliar’. I’ll say hello next time!

Tom – I said when we got there that I should of got in touch with you as well! Will remember for next time :). We ended up at that country park first, but as i’m sure your aware, it’s not that good when they are on that runway heading!
