Here are a couple shots for Auster fans if that is what it is: CN-TEI.
Scrapyards draw me like a magnet. 🙂
I was out in Morocco in 1976, doing hot weather trials with cr*p fuels at altitude, on the then proto and only Bedford 8 tonne 4×4 ‘ammo carrier’. We were based in Marrakesh and operating daily in the Atlas mountains.
In a spare moment I had the opportunity to have a poke round a local scrapyard. I was captivated by the fantastic French classics littered around. I particularly had my eye on some Renault 8.3 vehicles ( horsepower not litres 🙂 ). This had been my first car and I had only ever seen one other than my own.
I was all for dumping the test payload on the Bedford and bringing one home on the return trip. Unfortunately….

A sad end for a early Auster with a long history.
