Continuing the clearout in my house (spring cleaning… in the summer:rolleyes: lol) I found this pic, taken in 1973 on a trip to Naples, by my mum.
The aircraft is still around today, flying with EAL… wow!
I give you G-AZMF

G-AZMF is still at Bournemouth in full EAL livery and is still air worthy.

HI guy’s
I am sure that the 111’s are still flying with the test pilots school. Saw one doing circuits over Exeter on Tuesday.

British Caledonian livery on a BAC 1-11, brings back some happy memories of spotting at BHX in the early to mid 70’s.

When was that ban introduced? I have heard about it… i worded my last post wrongly. I meant to say that its still with EAL, and it was flying up until March of last year.
Sorry for the confusion.
According to a guy who got a snap of it on airliners.net, its awaint a new fate… scrap most probably.:(

I thought all 1-11’s have been banned from flying in the uk due noise restrictions.
