One for the Halifax guys.

Here is a shot given to me by a former work colleague.

I think he was ex Handley Page.

Serial is RG815 and it carries the nose art ‘Mercury’.

It looks a bit special so who can analyse the photo and tell us a bit about it?

RG815 was a B Mk VI, specially equipped as a flying classroom for the Empire Radio School under joint sponsorship of the Air Min and Canadian government.

Off the top of my head Mercury was from a Radio and/or Navigation Unit.
Toured Australia and NZ in the late 40’s.
I’ll check my books and see if I can find reference to it
