One of my childhood stars has passed

Phil Everly. In my opinion no duo could sing as well as Don and Phil.

RIP Phil you gave me so much with you music.

I reckon Simon & Garfunkel were better, but even they acknowledge the debt they have to the Everlys.

Purely our own choice, as you say, but the one pair which for me run the Everlys close and I thought you might as well are Simon and Garfunkel.

Now we fall out Jim. Put up or shut up.

Put these up then Paul, it’s just ones own preference that counts.Sonny & Cher, Peter & Gordon, Chad & Jeremy, The Blues Brothers.etc.
I’ve put up,

Jim.

Yes, to some he will be sadly missed, but I can think of other duos who were better.

Admired their music for many years, and still have a number of their tracks I listen to when driving.

Indeed – died from chronic pulmonary disease I think. So influential on a host of singers growing up around the same time. Has any duo bettered Don and Phil?
