A year ago today on the 22nd of September 2005 at 18:00 (Maltese local time), Spitfire BM597 and Hurricane “Z5140” entered Valletta’s stunning Grand Harbour in close formation. For the first time since the filming of Malta Story, there was once again the sound of Merlins Over Malta…
The harbour arrival was the beginning of an eight day stay on Malta for the aircraft.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone who helped the MoM team achieve their goal.
